National and International Artists Please Join Now
Hello and welcome to Art-SX. We know you may have some questions about the site, especially since there have been a few changes, so this article will help explain some of the things you need to know to help you get the most out of your visit to Art-SX.
Art-SX is for everyone who loves to create not just for those in Essex. Because we are based in Southend-on-sea which is about 35 miles east of London, we named the site on it's location, Essex. Our aim though is to provide online facilities and resources to enable artists and visitors to get a little more from their favourite art form, we also have news on local arts which we present to the international online community, whilst at the same time bringing similar news items back home from other places around the globe for our members to digest.
We support artists by offering free membership, and by not charging commissions on sales of artists work via the site, other ways of support include help with web design, hosting and providing resources and training which in turn will enable you to make the most out of your chosen artform. We also support local Charities and those who use the arts to help others or provide learning for their local communities, you'd be suprised how art has helped others all over the world.
Just some of the things we offer members... Forum, PMS (private Messaging Service), gallery, write your own news or blog, submit links to our directory, tell others what's on via the events calendar, create your own art gifts via Cafepress, submit Poetry, Create free-ads and so much more.

A NEW website, which aims to be the first comprehensive directory of activities available for children and young people across Essex, has been launched by the county council.
The Essex Young Life site - www.essexyounglife.co.uk - has been available in a limited format over the summer holidays, but is now ready to be unleashed in its full glory.
Cllr Tracey Chapman, cabinet member with responsibility for making Essex the safest county in England within five years, said: "The site has already proved popular and the beauty of it is that it will only get better and better as more people hear about it and start logging on."
